This is such a gentle photo! Fog photos are usually hard to take, and the conditions have to be just right. The island away seems just mystical, and those ducks god into your frame just in time. I think the ducks turn the photo from just a foggy landscape into something that is a live environment.

As much as I've seen plenty of pictures of lakes and such, I love this photo due the fact that it is so well taken. There is the perfect amount of everything: tree in the foreground, 'mystical' trees in the background, and the perfect amount of foggy grey in the sky. Usually its too much of this or that, but this is wonderful <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt=":D" title=":D (Big Grin)"/>

Like I said before, it is a gentle photo, so it doesn't really 'impact' on you, so much as make you look at it and imagine a lovely far off place. It takes time and energy to do that... you just have to have the right audience.
